It's not too late to find out about training at NIP.

If you are curious about options in contemporary psychoanalytic training but have been too busy to attend a training institute's Open House, the National Institute for the Psychotherapies invites you to reach out to an NIP faculty member or a current NIP student to get a sense of the ways psychoanalytic training can enhance your skills, deepen your work, and expand your career possibilities.

You are welcome to contact the following people to answer any questions you may have about the benefits of training, how our programs work, schedules, costs and more.

Academic Programs

The National Institute for the Psychotherapies is dedicated to providing psychoanalytic training for clinicians and comprehensive treatment for the community. Located in Columbus Circle in New York City, NIP was chartered by the New York State Department of Education in 1972 as a non-profit educational facility.

Through a wide range of training programs, NIP provides psychoanalytic training to graduate and postgraduate, licensed mental health professionals in an atmosphere of academic excellence. NIP offers affordable treatment to the community.  An individualized treatment plan drawn from a full range of psychotherapeutic and counseling services is created in a collaborative process between patient and therapist.
